This scene is on the western side of Big Bend National Park just north of the main park road a mile or so from the western park entrance near the little town of Study Butte. Dogie Mountain is just beyond the creek. The Christmas Mountains are in the distance. I have heard that Desert Big Horn sheep are now in those mountains.
