Painting number OIL1124, titled "The Road to Panther Pass", dated July 19, 2011, 20" x 30" original oil painting on linen canvas.

This painting is of one of my favorite scenes on this earth. It is the Green Gulch Road in Big Bend National Park. The road starts down in the desert at Panther Junction. It goes up about 3,000 to 4,000 feet. It starts out in the desert plants and goes up to pine trees and streams with deer, bears and cougars. In the center of the Chisos Mountains is the The Basin where the camping grounds, cabins and retaurant are located. If I am going up this road, I am heading for an adventure.
