In May of this year, my daughter, Karen Duban, and her son, Nathaniel, and I spent a week in Big Bend. Late in the evening we would go over to the western side of the Chisos Mountains to watch and photograph the sunset. This painting is of the western wall of the Chisos Mountains just after sunset.
