Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

I have been saving this painting to use as my Christmas Card to all of you.

Thank you so much for looking at my paintings and reading my stories this past year. In a way, you are now part of my extended family. Each morning as I start the day, I look forward to reading the email messages that you send to me. Please forgive me if I don’t promptly answer your emails. Before I know it, I can fall hopelessly behind.

Sometimes one of my stories will touch someone and they will send to me their own story. Some of these stories are funny, some are about lost love ones and some just break my heart.

It is the time of the year to count our blessings. I have so much to be thankful for. First, at the age of 76, I am thankful that I am here and able to write this story. Second, as my old friend Carrol, says “If you can get to the kitchen in the morning unassisted, it is probably going to be a good day.”

From your emails, I can tell that some of you are going through good times and some are just living and some are enduring bad times. Through my many years of living on this earth, I have learned one thing that you can count on…that nothing last forever. So I guess the key to a good life is to enjoy the good times while you have them and don’t get too down with the bad times for they won’t last forever either. Just like spring follows the winter, good times will come again.

I look forward to the coming year 2011 and hearing from all of you as to what is happening in your lives.
