I photographed this little cottontail rabbit in the Palo Duro Canyon State Park. This canyon was the favorite place for the Comanche Indians to camp during the winter months to get some protection from the biitterly cold winter winds on the high Texas Plains. I have a story that goes with this painting of an interesting love story of how a young boy, captured by the Comanche Indians, meets a young Mexican girl, also captured by the Comanches, and their love story. Palo Duro Canyon is one of my favorite places on this earth. If you can't visit it in person, then click on www.palodurocanyon.com and go to the Photos tab and see the virtual tours, photos and amateur videos.
